David Cross And Amber Tamblyn Used Yo La Tengo As Wedding House Band

After almost a half decade of dating and a host of weird adventures, David Cross and Amber Tamblyn tied the knot last night. The two first began dating during the early portion of 2008, and apart from a brief break-up rumor a few years back, have kept their relationship out of the public eye. That’s a victory for two celebrities who would rather keep their private lives private, and it’s probably a good sign for things to come.

According to People, not a whole lot is known about the specifics of the ceremony, except, when it comes to the music. Filmmaker and Jackass contributor Lance Bangs published a beautiful picture on Instagram of the happy couple dancing. In the background, members of the band Yo La Tengo are visible. Apparently, they played covers of Superchunk, Mission of Burma and the Pixies. You can take a look at the shot in question below…

It’s unfortunate we can’t see Cross or Tamblyn’s face in that picture, but judging by how tight they’re holding each other, it’s pretty obvious they’re having an incredible time. No doubt they’ll send some money or a cake to Yo Lo Tengo as a thank you but also probably one to Questlove. According to People, he was kind enough to handle the deejay duties. I’m sure he was awesome.

Pop Blend’s sincerest thoughts go out to Tamblyn and Cross as they move forward together. Here’s to hoping a sweet band plays their tenth anniversary too.
