I get home from a hard day at the restaurant and unpack my brand new PS3 (yes!). It’ s a wonderful time to be me, and I think it can’t get any better. Then I boot up the laptop and the first thing I see is a story about a police officer pulling over a drunk 18 year old girl…on a Segway. Yes! My Thursday is complete. All I can envision is GOB from Arrested Development wearing a police helmet with a light on the top leaning forward to catch the girl.
The Jackson, Florida officer spotted the woman at about 4 a.m. driving erratically down the street and took up pursuit. She was going 40 mph when he first saw her and only caught up when the girl stopped her car. He conducted the usual field sobriety tests and called for a squad car to take her in. I guess he didn’t want to strap her to his back so he could take her himself. Safety first whenever using a Segway, you know.
