Annie Wersching Will Recur In Dallas' Season 2

Annie Wersching is headed to TNT to join the hit drama Dallas during the show’s second season. The former 24 actress will recur in new episodes of the show as a transportation commissioner, with a hardworking, career-oriented attitude and more than a little sex appeal.

Wersching’s most memorable recent role was on 24. That gig ended just a few episodes before the popular espionage drama finished out its last story arc on Fox. In the time since, the actress has landed plenty of guest starring roles, on shows ranging from NCIS to Harry’s Law. Unfortunately, prior to Dallas, she seems to have had a little trouble nabbing a more permanent role. A recurring role on a cable drama like Dallas probably isn’t going to be the highlight of the actress’ career, but a recurring role is nothing to laugh at, and, at the very least, should get Wersching on people’s radars, again.

Dallas has been gearing up for Season 2 for a while now. Although Season 1 initially aired as a summer series on TNT, earlier this month, the cable network announced the show will instead return to make the midseason schedule and will begin airing on January 28.

According to TV Line, when the actress joins the show, she might be getting up to some romantic shenanigans with either John Ross Ewing III or Christopher Ewing. It’s a good thing the show is returning sooner rather than later, because I’m not sure I’d do well waiting until summer to see how that love plotline pans out.
