Celebrity Apprentice With Arnold Schwarzenegger Just Added More Board Members, And They're Wild
Donald Trump may no longer be a mainstay on NBC, but that doesn’t mean Celebrity Apprentice is dead. In fact, the series is sort-of rebooting with a brand new head and panel of judges, not to mention a new batch of contestants. A few months ago we learned that Arnold Schwarzenegger had signed on as the brand new head of Celebrity Apprentice. If that weren’t wild enough, now NBC has signed on a slew of other celebrities to fill out the board. Those will be Jessica Alba, Tyra Banks, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Steve Ballmer and Warren Buffett. Yes, Warren Buffett.
Don’t recognize that dude? Well that might be because he’s not really an actor, despite that being a still from The Office. In fact, you are more likely to know him as the richest man you’ll never make eye contact with. He's Warren Buffett and his net worth is somewhere around $67 billion in US dollars thanks to a diverse portfolio which includes interest in Berkshire Hathaway.
When America’s Next Top Model got cancelled and then Tyra Banks subsequently quit her talk show, her next career move was wide open. I gotta say, I wasn’t really expecting Celebrity Apprentice to be her next stop. I’m sure the former ANTM host will be equally as outspoken in this gig. Expect some wild stuff to come out of her mouth.
Jessica Alba might be known for acting, but since she co-founded The Honest Company, which rakes in a ton of money, she’s actually a great fit for this type of gig. As an advisor on Celebrity Apprentice, she should be in a good position to understand how celebrity can influence and affect business deals, for better or for worse. Still, not the first person you would guess would appear on a TV show in this capacity as she's mostly been in films in the past.
Patrick Knapp Schwarzenegger, not to be confused with actor and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s son Patrick, is a prominent entertainment attorney. We don’t currently have a photo of the man, but NBC says that he is Arnold Schwarzenegger’s nephew. His inclusion means that Celebrity Apprentice will continue the tradition of the head of the board taking advice from family members concerning who will stick around and who will head home.
Steve Ballmer is the former Microsoft CEO and the current owner of the Los Angeles Clippers. He also has plenty of money in the billions, making him a good fit for Celebrity Apprentice. He'd also probably be a good fit for Shark Tank, but that's neither here nor there.
The new season of Celebrity Apprentice is well on the way to fruition and today the network announced the full roster of contestants, too. They include a wide variety of celebrities from various fields. Check ‘em out:
