Comedy Central Cancels Reno 911

Reno 911’s sixth season wrapped up last month and today news broke via Twitter (because that’s how people find things out now) that the series will not be returning for a seventh season.

The announcement was made by Thomas Lennon via his Twitter page. "Reno 911! was cancelled at 1:30 pm today," the Reno 911 co-creator (and star) Thomas Lennon wrote on his Twitter site today. "Won't be wearing the shorts again."

Reno 911 is a mockumentary series that spoofs COPS as we watch the Reno police bumble their way through their daily job responsibilities. While I’m sure there are plenty of people who will be disappointed to know that the show’s not coming back for another season, six seasons is a good run and the show will live on on DVD if not on reruns on Comedy Central.
