Could Ryan Lochte Get His Own Reality TV Show?

Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte hasn't exactly shied away from the cameras during his time in London, nor have the cameras shied away from him. And with five medals won at this year's Summer Olympics, he's certainly earned his fair share of the spotlight. But will his post Olympics-fame include his own reality TV show? Word is, he's received multiple offers.

According to THR, Lochte's agent Erika Wright, "Two different reality show concepts have been offered and one additional is being discussed." It also sounds like we should expect to see him on a few talk shows when he gets back to the states, though that's not surprising at all. And THR says Lochte mentioned being open to appearing on Dancing with the Stars, suggesting that he could compete against fellow U.S. swimmer Michael Phelps.

It's sort of expected that some of the Team USA athletes will remain in the spotlight after the Olympics wrap up, and Lochte seems like a prime candidate for this kind of additional publicity. A reality show sounds like a good possibility (no mention on which networks or production companies have made offers). From his diamond grill accessory, to his reported admission that he peed in the pool in warm-up, and his mother's comments about his romantic life (to put it politely), the 28-year-old is already getting attention for matters indirectly related to his swimming abilities, and he seems comfortable with in the spotlight, to say the least. A reality show seems like the next step toward superstardom for the athlete, if that's what he's looking to achieve. Or perhaps it'll be a show that focuses on his rigorous training in anticipation of Rio and whatever competitions fall between now and then.
