Eliza Dushku Has Already Bailed On TNT Pilot Bird Dog

Hopefully none of you Dollhouse fans got too worked up about Eliza Dushku's return to the small screen with the TNT cop drama Bird Dog, because just a week after she signed on to the pilot, she's backed away. The Hollywood Reporter got TNT to confirm a post Dushku made on her Facebook page announcing that she has left the show. It reads in its entirety:

"Hey guys! News to report~ We have mutually & AMICABLY decided to part ways on "Bird Dog" due to creative differences. No worries/fears/tears!"

This kind of revolving door sign-on/sign-off happens surprisingly often with TV pilots, and it always makes me wonder what the real story is. Don't you think Dushku would have worked out those creative differences before signing on? What has possibly changed between last week and now? Anyway, presumably the Bird Dog producers are now scrambling for another pretty TV lady to headline the series-- stars of My Generation, your second chance may have arrived.
