Episodes Renewed By Showtime For Season 3

Showtime's Episodes wrapped up its second season late last month. The comedy series, which stars Matt LeBlanc, follows the inner-workings of a TV sitcom in the making, and the personal and professional lives of the people involved. While the future of Pucks! hangs in the balance, Showtime announced the good news today that Season 3 is a go!

Created by David Crane and Jeffrey Klarik, Episodes has LeBlanc playing himself, and the star of the fictional sitcom Pucks!, an adaptation of a British series that made its debut on network TV in Episodes' second season. Showtime's comedy about a comedy series does a great job of balancing a lot of TV inside-humor and the drama that erupts from some of the personal disasters among the characters, including Pucks! writers Beverly Lincoln (Tamsin Greig) and her husband (sort of) Sean (Stephen Mangan), who are still adjusting to life in Hollywood. Season 2 has Sean and Beverly separated from the start, and their awkward working relationship is part of the focus of the season, while LeBlanc engaged in an affair with TV executive Merc's wife. Things come to a head in the second season finale, and we're once again left to wonder what will happen next as the story moves forward.

Fortunately, it looks like we'll get to see that happen. Showtime's announcement says that the show has been renewed for Season 3. No return date has been set yet, but there will be 9 episodes in Season 3, and the series will be filming in both Los Angeles and London. (Are Sean and Beverly returning home?!) There's plenty of time to speculate over what's ahead. (Spoilers if you aren't caught up with Season 2!) How will Carol be running the show in Season 3? Will Sean and Beverly be back on track? What state will Merc be in, when the series returns?
