The Flash, Arrow, The 100 And Other CW TV Shows Get October Premiere Dates

Following CBS' Fall TV premiere schedule, the CW has released their own plans for new and returning programming this fall. It looks like they'll be getting things going during early October, starting with The Vampire Diaries, Reign and TVD-spinoff The Originals.

CW laid out the exact premiere dates with this helpful graphic full of pretty faces:

But it's interesting to see the network's plans to beyond straight-up premiere dates. Check out the full listing below:

Rather than debuting The Flash and the return of Arrow during the first week of October, the network has set up back-to-back Arrow reruns on Wednesday, October 1 to re-introduce Barry Allen to fans ahead of Flash's official arrival. The Season 2 episodes of Arrow, "The Scientist" and "Three Ghosts," will air back-to-back during the first week of October. The following week, The Flash will premiere on Tuesday night and then the premiere ep will air again after Arrow debuts Season 3 on Wednesday night.

CW has The Flash set to encore after Arrow on Wednesday nights throughout October, up until October 22 when The 100 returns to its Wednesday night timeslot. By that point, Arrow will have hopefully secured itself an audience and won't need the Arrow lead-in. But it's a smart move on CW to take advantage of its Arrow audience, at least for a few weeks.

The Flash isn't the only new series on the roster for the CW in Fall 2014. There's also Jane the Virgin, which arrives October 13.

Coming midseason is Rob Thomas' new series iZombie, along with The Messengers, and the returns of Hart of Dixie and Beauty and the Beast.
