No New Flash Tonight, Watch The Preview For Legends Of Today
The Flash Season 2 debuted on October 6 with “The Man Who Saved Central City,” and it has since delivered a new Scarlet Speedster installment each week. This week, however, the show is finally taking a breather, which means there’s no new episode tonight. Not to worry, though, this Thanksgiving break isn’t going to last long, as it will return the following week to kick off its latest crossover with Arrow. If you haven’t already, check out the trailer for “Legends of Today” and its Arrow followup “Legends of Yesterday.”
As expected for a show revolving around The Fastest Man Alive, The Flash kicked off the action right away in its sophomore season introducing Earth 2. Since then we’ve watched Barry dealing with threats from our world and this other Earth, ranging from Atom Smasher and Sand Demon to Lewis Snart and Gorilla Grodd. The most dangerous of them all, however, is the demonic Zoom, who handed Barry a severe beatdown in “Enter Zoom.” Fortunately, Barry managed to overcome his injuries last week, so he’s ready to take on the bad guys again.
With Thanksgiving only a couple days away, The CW likely wanted to take a break during the week U.S. viewers are celebrating the holiday. Granted, some networks are airing new episodes of their series tonight, but since The Flash (as well as Arrow) wants to get its midseason finale out in early December like last year, they were going to need to take a week off regardless. Last year, The Flash took its first break on November 4, which was Election Day, but this year the show decided to race further, much to the delight of its fans, no doubt.
Just like last year’s crossover, Barry and the S.T.A.R. Labs team will be joining forces with Oliver Queen and Team Arrow in both of their shows next week. The difference this time around is the story over these two nights will be more closely connected. Immortal Vandal Savage will be targeting Kendra Saunders and Carter Hall, a.k.a. Hawkgirl and Hawkman, leading the superhero teams to intervene. This story will continue the next night in Arrow’s “Legends of Yesterday.” Just like “Family of Rogues” and "The Fury of Firestorm,” this year’s crossover is also helping to set up Legends of Tomorrow, with main characters including Captain Cold, Heat Wave, Martin Stein and Jefferson Jackson.
You can catch The Flash’s next episode “Legends of Today” on Tuesday, December 1 at 8 pm. EST on The CW.
