Former Sons Of Anarchy Actor Found Dead, Linked To A Murder

This news is both sad and mysterious. Actor Johnny Lewis has died in what is being reported as very violent circumstances that may involve the murder of an elderly woman The actor, whose TV roles include Sons of Anarchy and The O.C., was found dead in the driveway of a California residence.

TMZ shared details given to them from law endorsement sources, which say the 28-year-old actor was found dead Wednesday morning, and that the 81-year-old woman who owned the house Lewis was renting was found dead inside the home. It's believed that she was beaten to death by Lewis.

According to multiple reports, neighbors heard the 81-year-old woman screaming ... and then saw a young man outside her home attack 2 other people with a piece of wood ... before he climbed onto the roof and fell to his death.

Based on TMZ's report, which includes updates from unnamed sources, there was some kind of scuffle between Lewis and a couple of men, and drugs may have been involved. It's unclear if he jumped from the roof or if he fell. Either way, this is truly tragic news.

Sons of Anarchy fans will remember Lewis for playing the role of "Half-Sack," a SAMCRO prospect who died in Season 2 when trying to protect Jax's son Abel. From an interview Kurt Sutter did in 2009, the character was killed off because Lewis wasn't happy on the show and wanted out of his contract. Since then, the actor has taken on a few other roles, including a part in Eduardo Sanchez' horror Lovely Molly.

Given the nature of Lewis' death and the violent circumstances surrounding it, it's hard to know what to make of the situation. But our thoughts go out to his friends and family in their time of loss, and to the family of the woman who was killed.
