Fox Renews Kitchen Nightmares For Another Season

While the success rate of restaurants isn’t said to be very high, the success rate for Fox’s Kitchen Nightmares continues to improve. The network has decided to renew the series for yet another season, which means Gordon Ramsay will be helping more failing restaurants in the U.S. clean up their act.

Based on the British series Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares, Kitchen Nightmare has celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay visiting struggling restaurants and helping (or ordering) them to fix their place up and hopefully generate more business. Whether it’s the menu, the decor, the staff, the kitchen, or the management (it’s usually a little or a lot of all of the above), Ramsay gets to the bottom of things and implements change. He also yells at people. Sometimes it helps. Other times, it seems the issues run too deep to be fixed by a spruced up menu and a cleaned up kitchen. Either way, it makes for good entertainment and gives us a look at the inner workings of the restaurant industry.

The series is currently airing its fourth season (or fifth if we’re going by Wikipedia’s episode list), with a restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia set to be featured on tonight’s episode (Friday, Feb. 3 at 8:00 p.m.). Fox doesn't say when they plan to get the next new season on the air, however the announcement does state that it will consist of sixteen episodes.
