Garcelle Beauvais Won't Return For Season 3 Of Franklin & Bash

In a move that seems to have caught her by surprise, the producers of TNT’s Franklin & Bash have decided not to pick up Garcelle Beauvais’ option for the upcoming third season. Beauvais reacted with shock, taking to Twitter to share the news with fans.

Franklin & Bash stars Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Breckin Meyer as two young lawyers whose methods turn things upside down at a stodgy law firm. Garcelle Beauvais has been starring in a regular role as Hanna Linden alongside the pair in the series through the first two successful seasons. TNT just picked up a third season of the show in September, but apparently decided Beauvais won’t be a part of it. Last night the actress tweeted that she had just been informed she won’t be continuing with the show, adding the word “stunned” as a hash tag. Clearly the news blindsided her.

Beauvais seemed to recover her equilibrium fairly quickly, tweeting a few hours later that she has “lots of projects in the works”. Among them is the upcoming film White House Down in which she’ll play the First Lady. She also added hash tags for Arrested Development and Psych to the tweet, so it sounds like fans can keep an eye out for her on those shows as well.

Meanwhile, it seems we can expect some casting news for Franklin & Bash’s third season. With Beauvais no longer playing Hanna, the question becomes one of how she'll be written out and who will be added to replace her.
