Kristin Chenoweth And Trace Adkins Will Host American Country Awards Again This Year

The American Country Awards broadcast will see a return performance from hosting team Kristin Chenoweth and Trace Adkins for this year’s broadcast. The ceremony honors country music’s biggest talents, and will take place in December at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas and air on Fox.

This is the third year for the awards ceremony, a relative newcomer in the world of music awards shows, but the return of last year’s hosts promises a great show for country music fans. For Adkins it’s three for three – he’s been a host on the show since the show first aired. He’s a long-standing country music star with over 10 million albums sold, so his place in the show makes sense. Chenoweth adds something that appeals to a wider audience as well as a good sense of humor. Adkins calls her “ quite the firecracker comedienne” that he’s looking forward to working with again. Chenoweth for her part said in a press release that she’s happy to be on board again with Adkins and his “big personality and even bigger boots.” You just need to see a picture of the enormous Adkins towering over Chenoweth to see where that comment came from.

The American Country Awards is one of the rare awards ceremonies that allows fans to vote on the winners, and the only such awards in the country music arena. They also hand out awards for less recognized areas of the music industry, such as touring, making for a truly unusual show. Alabama, Toby Keith, and The Voice’s Blake Shelton were among last year’s performers on the special, so fans can expect to see a similar level of talent show up this year to perform.
