MADtv's Will Sasso Signs On For Middle Age Rage

ABC's comedy pilot Middle Age Rage has added a bit more comedic talent to its cast, with MADtv's Will Sasso joining the project, which stars previously cast Annie Mumolo. The single-camera comedy follows a woman who grows fed up with being invisible and decides to start speaking out. Sasso will play her husband.

Following the news that Bridesmaids writer and actor Annie Mumolo was set to play the female suffering from middle age rage and growing more vocal as a result, THR reports that Sasso will play her spouse, Leonard in Middle Age Rage, a single-camera comedy from Justin Falvey, Darryl Frank and Stacy Draub. From the sound of it, Leonard's not a bad guy. In fact, he works hard and is stressed out as a result. He also has issues talking about his feelings. He's described as "thoroughly decent" and a good provider and father. He's just a little bit oblivious to his wife's breakdown, which may be part of the problem.

In recent years, Sasso's credits include the role of Curly in The Three Stooges, bartender Doug in How I Met Your Mother, and the part of Vince in CBS' short-lived comedy $#*! My Dad Says. But we can go further back than that and mention that he starred in MADtv and played the part of Hank in Drop Dead Gorgeous. Speaking of mockumentaries, he was also in Christopher Guest's Best in Show. If Middle Age Rage finds a spot on ABC's line-up this spring, it looks like this will be his first starring role in a TV comedy since $#*! My Dad Says was cancelled a couple of years ago.
