Magic City Season 2 Preview Introduces New Climates

Starz’s Magic City is making some changes in Season 2. The Miami-oriented period drama is expanding its horizons a little, introducing some new characters, as well as introducing some of the show’s characters to some new climates. You can check out the show’s new attitude and landscapes in the first full Season 2 trailer, below.

Starz first released the new Magic City trailer from the show’s TCA panel this week, noting that the program will expand its landscapes in Season 2. As the preview above notes, Ike and the gang will get involved in plotlines that will introduce Cuba and Chicago, and I hope the guys have the cooler weather gear to keep them warm in the Windy City. Ike seems to be wanting to get into the hotel business outside of Miami. Meanwhile, some Chicago criminals may also be getting into Miami affairs. It's no wonder Ike might think things are getting a little crowded.

As previously reported, James Caan and Esai Morales are set to join the cast, and as relations get more and more testy between Ike and Ben Diamond, it’ll be interesting to see where the new guys try to fit into the bigger picture. As the preview notes, and as we already know, Caan’s character will be the mentor and head honcho of Ben Diamond, but at the end of the day, he could very well side with Ike and his hotel problems. We’ll have to wait and see when Magic City’s second season premieres on Starz later this year.
