Spartacus War Of The Damned Trailer Honors The Fallen With Blood And Death

If there's one thing many of the characters in Spartacus are good at, it's slashing and stabbing. I guess that's two things, but they do sort of go hand in hand when swords are involved. Starz's new promo for Spartacus: War of the Damned plays emphasis on some of the bloody violence in store for the series' finale season.

Spartacus isn't all about the violence (there's also sex, romance, politics and a lot of drama), but there's certainly plenty of blood spilled amidst the drama. Starz makes good use of that in this new promo, titled "Epic Kills of Spartacus: War of the Damned," which previews the upcoming new and final season with some bloody, sword-slashing, rage-filled, screaming moments.

If they're trying to "honor the fallen with blood and death," they're doing a really good job of it, from what we can tell. There certainly were a lot of fallen at the end of last season, so I guess there's a lot of honor set to be slashed, stabbed and in at least one case, punched in the face. The Romans look ready for a fight though. The numbers are bigger, the stakes are higher, and with a show like this (as last season proved in its bloodbath of a finale), anything can happen.

Spartacus: War of the Damned premieres January 25 on Starz.
