Watch James Corden Text Leonardo DiCaprio From Jennifer Lopez's Phone
There are, quite frankly, a ton of late-night talk shows on the air. That competition, combined with a timeslot where most TV watchers are asleep, make it hard for certain shows to stand out from their competitors. James Corden; however, brings something unique and thoroughly enjoyable to the world of late night television when he produces his somewhat infamous Carpool Karaoke segments. After all, who doesn’t want to see celebrities being normal and jamming out in a car? The most recent episode contains none other than Jennifer Lopez and the results are hilarious, check it out.
I’m not sure if this Carpool Karaoke will be the most viral of the bunch, but it is definitely one of the most hilarious. While Jennifer Lopez may have taken a little while to get comfortable, things got more and more crazy as the Late Late Show segment continued.
Without a doubt, the most hilarious moment of the entire segment came toward the end when James Corden decides to go through Jennifer Lopez’s phone. Corden starts asking J. Lo how many famous people she has in her phone, and the answer is A LOT. From there, he decides to take it upon himself to contact A-lister and recent Academy Award winner Leonardo DiCaprio for kicks and giggles. After typing the message, and despite J. Lo’s protests, he quickly presses send before she can stop him. His text to Leo (posing as Jennifer) is as follows:
I mean, come on. That is a thoroughly hilarious text that Jennifer Lopez was clearly nervous to do damage control over. The segment continues, and the two continue singing some of J. Lo’s hits, before she actually gets a response from Leonardo DiCaprio while they’re still filming. His answer?
Boo boo. Leonardo DiCaprio actually texted the words BOO BOO in reference to a female friend. This is the moment that truly killed me while watching this Carpool Karaoke. Leo typically presents himself rather proper and eloquent, so the idea of him using this type of vernacular seems out of left field. I can only imagine he was home having a good session with his vaporizer and texting J. Lo for some clubbing plans. Celebrities are hilarious.
Aside from the magic that is James Corden’s text to Leonardo DiCaprio, another favorite moment was Jennifer Lopez teaching James how to make sexy music video faces. Essentially all the times where he wasn’t actually driving the car made this Carpool Karaoke top tier.
Overall, this is a Carpool Karaoke for the books. As much as the rest of The Late Late Show is great, I kind of wish he also had a half hour of just him in cars with celebrities because it’s so damn funny.
