Watch The Voice Judges Kick Off Tonight's Episode With Start Me Up

There hasn’t been a lot of turnover time between the 2nd and 3rd season of NBC’s The Voice. If you were looking for the hit singing competition show to return next summer, you’ll need to get your remote primed and ready a whole lot sooner, because Season 3 of The Voice is premiering tonight. To celebrate, the judges on the hit show—Christina Aguilera, Maroon 5’s Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and Cee Lo Green—have a very special performance planned, and NBC was kind enough to extend a sneak peek of the footage.

We’ve seen the judges perform on the show before, but tonight they will come together to perform The Rolling Stone’s “Start Me Up” in fine fashion. If you want the performance to be a surprise, tonight, don’t watch the video, but if you want to see Adam Levine start things out on the guitar, I’d suggest clicking right now.

In the video, Levine plays from the stage, while Blake and Christina belt it out from the famous red-backed judges chairs. Cee Lo Green then comes prancing out in a white medieval looking costume with flowing sleeves to help sing. It’s actually less ridiculous than Christina’s bejeweled corset and pink lipstick, which make her look as if she is still in her Dirrty phase. Still, the track is pretty fun and looks like it will start things off right tonight.

Earlier today, The Voice judges were interviewed about what’s going to happen in the upcoming season. Competitive levels are high, with Aguilera and Cee Lo still without a winner. Only time will tell if they can find the right competition this year.

NBC’s The Voice premieres tonight at 8 p.m. ET.
