At this point, any public holiday is an excuse to get people to part with their cash. The first in the US calendar for 2025? Martin Luther King Day. Honestly, I'm not sure about discounting TVs, streaming sticks, and the like in the name of civil rights activist Martin Luther King. But it is my job to tell you when there are some great savings to be had, and MLK Day sales have very much become a thing, with some of the biggest retailers like Amazon and BestBuy getting involed – and there are some great deals worth shouting about.

Officially taking place on the third Monday of January, in 2025 Martin Luther King Day (or MLK Day) is taking place on January 20.
