Become A Table Tennis Master
We get lots of press releases on far from mainstream DVD releases. Some of them we toss up with a little bit of thought. Others just don’t register much. Typically this one would fall into that category, but considering the timing and attempted cash in value, I just can’t help but report it.
Xtreme Table Tennis Ltd. is releasing a series of Table Tennis (“or, as the Chinese call it, Ping Pong”) videos to help you become a better player. They aren’t even trying to hide their attempted cash in on though, stating in their press release that “the new comedy movie Balls of Fury will provoke visions of fun and the thrills of competition in many a home across the land this fall and winter.”
So, if you’re one of those people influenced into a new sport by a silly comedy, here are two DVDs for you in the Table Tennis Master series. In sixty minutes each DVD will teach you a new technique: “forehand smash mastery” or “forehand loop mastery”. Why does this feel like something that kicks off a “once a month a video is sent to you, keep the ones you like…” series?
The featured Coach of the videos seems accredited enough. Coach Tao Li is both a gold and silver medalist as well as a “level 3 NCCP Certified Coach.” I’m sure that means something to someone.
I don’t remember instructional videos coming out when Dodgeball was in theaters, but this is right up that alley. Still, some people may want to improve their forehand smash or loop. If so, head over to www.tabletennismaster.com.
