Blu-ray Editions Coming For Camelot, Singing In The Rain, And Baby Jane
Warner Bros. has announced plans to remaster and bring to Blu-ray three classic titles just in time for their assorted anniversaries. Coming to Blu-ray and DVD special editions sometime in 2012, mark your calendars for Singin' in the Rain (60th Anniversary Edition), Camelot (45th Anniversary Edition), and What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? (50th Anniversary Edition). They'll be released under the umbrella of Warners' "Ultimate Collector's Editions," so you can likely expect more classics to follow suit.
No hard details are available about release date or special features, but given that these releases are at least a year away, that's kind of understandable. Also worth noting is that Warners will be putting a moratorium on these three titles beginning December 31st, so if you want a DVD copy to fill the long nights until their 2012 Blu-ray debuts, you've only got a few weeks to pick them up.
