Book Of Daniel Escapes Cancellation Humiliation And Lands On DVD
The religious right ran "The Book of Daniel" right off the air for daring to portray priests as human beings rather than spiritual super soldiers dedicated to Christ, but maybe the critically acclaimed television show will find new life on DVD.
"The Book of Daniel: The Complete Series" is coming to DVD on September 26th as a two-disc set. The release will be fairly bare-bones, just a collection of the episodes they managed to get filmed before being run out of town on a rail. But then what else would you expect from a cancelled television show? Before the advent of DVD a series like this would simply have disappeared. At least it's out there.
Check out the cover art for the release below, and watch for it on shelves in a few weeks.
