Boondock Saints Clean The Streets On Blu-Ray
But it’s a mission from God! Yeah, yeah; keep telling yourself that. Get ready to enjoy the brutality of The Boondock Saints as the MacManus brother spread their calling across South Boston and onto Blu-ray. Come February 10th, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment will release this cult classic in high definition.
After Conner (Sean Patrick Flanery) and Murphy (Norman Reedus) MacManus confess to killing mafia thugs and are released as heroes; the Irish brothers consider their actions a sign from God. From that point on, the boys are out to get all of Boston’s most notorious gang members. Now, the police look upon them in a different light, but the law is no match for the MacManus brothers’ belief in Veritas (truth) and Aequitas (justice). One agent, Paul Smecker (Willem Dafoe), even finds understanding in their effort and deep down has always wished what the boys are doing could have happened sooner.
Although I did enjoy the film, I am not a member of the Boondock cult. But, for those vigilante wannabes out there, this Blu-ray disc will certainly suffice. Not only will you be able to view the violence and rampage in the vivid picture offered by a Blu-ray disc, but you’ll also get a nice selection of bonus material. The special feature selection includes deleted scenes, a director’s cut, the theatrical trailer, filmographies, the script, audio commentary with writer and director Troy Duff and actor Billy Connolly, as well as some outtakes.
The disc will run you $34.99. Can I borrow someone’s just to watch the outtakes?
