Boondock Saints II: Armed And Dangerous On DVD March 9th
The Saints are coming to DVD and Blu-ray. According to IGN, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will make The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day available to own on March 9th.
Since the events of the first film, Connor and Murphy MacManus have been living more peaceful lives with their father in Ireland. When they find out that someone has murdered their hometown priest and framed them for the crime, they decide it’s time to dust off their guns and return to Boston to defend their honor.
Boondock Saints is no masterpiece, but the film’s authentic heroes garnered it a cult following. Sadly, writer/director Troy Duffy strips Connor and Murphy of all respectability in the sequel, making them mere caricatures of what they once were.
Fans of the first film will inevitably purchase this sham of a sequel, so here are the specs. The DVD will cost $27.96 and comes with some deleted scenes, filmmaker and cast commentary, “Unprecedented Access: Behind the Scenes," and “Billy Connolly and Troy Duffy: Unedited.” If you’re the guy dressing up as Connor or Murphy for Halloween and must have the BD edition, it’ll run you $34.95. In addition to the bonus material on the DVD, it’ll also come with "Inside the Vault: The Weapons," “The Cast Confesses: Secrets from the Set," “The Boondock Saints Hit Comic-Con,” movieIQ, and BD-Live access.
