Brad Garrett Swears 'Til Death
It’s hard to follow up a successful sitcom with another successful sitcom. Just look at projects like “The Michael Richards” show or anything with Jason Alexander. In fact, outside of spin-offs like “Frasier,” it’s hard to think of any actors who have had two good shows back to back. Somehow, “Everybody Loves Raymond” actor Brad Garrett appears to have beaten that trend with the series “’Til Death” which not only received acclaim from the People’s Choice Awards, but managed to survive an entire season on FOX – not a small feat.
Now “’Til Death”: The Complete First Season is headed for DVD on August 21st – just in time for you to catch the first season in its entirety before the second season airs.
The show is a juxtaposition of new marriage and old marriage, as marriage veterans played by Garrett and Joely Fisher have to contend with newlyweds who move in next door (Kat Foster and Eddie Kaye Thomas). The first season of 22 episodes, featured over three discs, included guest appearances from Margaret Cho, Ted McGinley, Dan Butler, and even Ray Romano. Bonus materials include bloopers and a couple of featurettes, including a look “Behind the Scenes”, “Brad’s Guided Tour” of the show, and “Marriage Stunt”.
