Julie Delpy is probably best known for her role as Celine in Before Sunrise and Before Sunset. Last year the actress moved behind the camera, however, for 2 Days in Paris, a more comedic look at relationships written and directed by Delpy, as well as co-starring the actress opposite Adam Goldberg. Now 2 Days in Paris is headed for DVD on February 5th – what better time to enjoy a movie about relationships than right around Valentine’s Day.
Goldberg stars in 2 Days in Paris as Jack, an anxious New Yorker involved with Marion (Delpy). When their European vacation takes the couple through Marion’s hometown, Jack suddenly learns a bit more about his girlfriend than he wanted to know.
The movie marks Delpy’s directorial debut and, while the movie didn’t receive a wide theatrical run, it did garner some acclaim while it was in theaters. The DVD is about as loaded as you might expect for a movie in that situation, featuring the movie as well as some extended scenes and an interview with Delpy (though no commentary track).
