Clarifying That Matrix Edition's Contents
Last week we told you about the 10th anniversary edition of The Matrix, coming to Blu-ray on March 31st. In that article I talked about not seeing anything new listed among the content for the release. Well, it turns out I was right, and wrong. Apparently my junk folder got a little ambitious and ate up the full information on the release.
The new edition of The Matrix doesn’t really contain anything we haven’t seen before, particularly in “The Ultimate Matrix Collection” box set. But it does have a few new things to offer. For instance, this is the first time a digital copy of the movie has been made available, following the popular trend (although I still debate the usefulness of the trend). The release will also include a 47-page book, with new information and pictures commemorating the anniversary for the sci-fi movie.
Also, if you want to be picky, this is the first time The Matrix has been made available on Blu-ray on its own, although the Ultimate box-set came out several months ago.
So there you go - a new book and a digital copy are the new content to commemorate the anniversary of The Matrix. Leaves you asking the same question as before, doesn’t it? “Why didn’t I take the blue pill.”
