Couples Retreat Special Features Detailed
We knew a month ago that Couples Retreat was slated for Blu-ray and DVD this February, but now we've got the full details on the release that hits February 9th.
Couples Retreat was a bit underwhelming, quite frankly, earning only 2.5 stars from CB head honcho Josh. I'd say his evaluation is pretty spot on. It's got gorgeous scenery (both cast and setting), it's got some funny moments, and it has an admirably stretchy Kristen Bell doing yoga in tight pants. Surprisingly, it also has a fair amount to say about the problems faced by anyone who's tried to make a long-term relationship work, and most of what it has to say is pretty sharp. But anyone expecting madcap Vince Vaughn antics in the tropics was almost certainly disappointed, because Couples Retreat just wasn't that funny.
Both the Blu-ray and the DVD include the same line-up of special features, with one exception. If you opt for the Blu-ray you'll get all of the following, plus a U-Control Video Commentary.
Blu-Ray and DVD Special Features
- Feature Commentary with director Peter Billingsley and star Vince Vaughn
- Gag Reel
- Extended Scenes with Commentary
- Therapy's Greatest Hits
- Alternate Ending with Commentary -- "Back in Chigaco"
- Deleted Scenes with Commentary
- Paradise Found: Filming in Bora Bora
- Behind the Yoga
