DVD Sales Charts Go Wild
A slow release week made it possible for Disney's mediocre famly movie The Wild tos tay on top of the DVD charts alongside Lucky Number Slevin for a second week. The only new release to challenge them was Stick It, which came in at number two in sales and number 6 in rentals.
The interesting thing is that none of those movies made much of a dent theatrically. All debuted with rather low numbers in theaters, and vanished from screens almost completely unnoticed. It seems that audiences were simply waiting for them to show up on DVD.
At number three in sales was the direct-to-DVD Barbie movie, Barbie in the 12 Dancing Princesses. Number four was the sixth season of "Gilmore Girls" on DVD and in fifth place was the Frankie Muniz horror movie Stay Alive.
