Details And Artwork For Hitman
The movie adaptation of the video game Hitman is headed for DVD on March 11th and is highlighted by Fox’s latest big addition to DVD bonus material: the digital copy. The DVD will be available in a single-disc theatrical version (which doesn’t include the digital copy), or a two-disc unrated special edition which brings new footage to the movie not seen in theaters, as well as a version of the movie for your laptop or iPod.
Note that’s an unrated special edition, not a “director’s cut,” which is what I really want to see. Hitman drew some attention a month or so before its release when Fox took the project away from director Xavier Gens for the final edit. While the studio contested the allegations, Gens wasn’t in the country at the time the final edit for Hitman was created – kind of hard to argue with that.
As you might expect, the two-disc set not only features a different cut of the movie, but contains more bonus material as well. Here’s a look at what you can expect on the different editions. Note that Fox will also be releasing Hitman on Blu-ray with features identical to the two-disc special edition.
