Dinosaurs Finishes Off DVD Run
Typically I’m the monster Jim Henson fan around here. There is one Henson creation I’ve never quite been able to get behind however: “Dinosaurs”. I know many mourn its loss from television as a devastating act of network cruelty, but I never saw it as much more than a revamped “Honeymooners” set the Jurassic era.
For those who are die hard fans, Seasons 3 and 4 of “Dinosaurs” are coming to DVD on May 1st. The final two seasons include such highlights as Baby turning two (I bet he still thinks Earl is “not the mama” though), Charlene theorizing the Earth is round (landing her in trouble with her school), and Robbie going through puberty. The end of the series brings on the ice age, creating a controversy among fans. Non-fans didn’t pay much attention, so no controversy there.
At least Disney is giving the show a decent amount of respect, tacking on a few bonus features to pay tribute to the show, including:
- "I'm The Baby Gotta Love Me" Featurette -- Rock With The Baby To A Hot Jurassic Beat You Just Gotta Love
- DINO Eggs -- Dig The Fun As You Excavate Buried Bonus Clips
- "Creatures With A Cause: The Issues Of DINOSAURS"
- Audio Commentaries
Both seasons are being released in one set, coming to stores on May 1st. Check out the artwork for the release below.
