The Doctor Will See SiCKO In November
Michael Moore’s SiCKO is just a few weeks away from its DVD release. The documentary, which focuses on the health care industry and its shortcomings in America, hits DVD on November 6th with a ton of extras, including an additional 45 minutes of footage and deleted scenes. But is anyone going to buy it?
As cool as the DVD may be, the truth is Moore’s movie has been available for home viewing ever since it hit theaters. A “leak” spilled a perfect print of the movie online, making its way across the Internet through torrents and file sharing. So I have to wonder, if the people who wanted to get their hands on Moore’s movie already have it, will it hurt DVD sales of the movie?
I’ll save my opinion of the movie itself for the DVD review, but I’ll say I am interested to see some of the deleted scenes and expanded interviews. Take a look at what you’ll find on the disc:
- SiCKO DVD Special Features
- Seven Never-Before-Seen segments adding over 45 minutes of exclusive footage
- SiCKO Goes To Washington
- This Country Beats France
- Uniquely American
- What If You Worked For G.E In France?
- Sister Mary Fidel
- Who Would Jesus Deny?
- More with Mike and Tony Benn - Interview Gallery – Extended Interviews with Former New England Journal of Medicine Editor, Marcia Angel; Author and Harvard Law Professor, Elizabeth Warren and Doctor and Eldest Daughter of Che Guevara, Aleida Guevara
- A Different Kind Of Premiere – The SiCKO L.A. Premiere
- “Alone Without You” Music Video performed by The Nightwatchman
