Brittany Murphy gets her thriller on posthumously in Abandoned, due on DVD and Blu-ray on August 24th. We showed you the trailer a few weeks ago, and now we've got an exclusive clip from the film, courtesy of the fine folks at Anchor Bay.
Abandoned casts Murphy as a young woman whose world begins to unravel after her boyfriend (Dean Cain) vanishes following a routine surgical procedure. The hospital claims to have no record of him, and soon she's facing off against a psychiatrist (Peter Bogdonavich) who keeps insisting that she imagined the whole thing and needs help of the straight-jacketed, heavy-sedation kind. In the clip below, Murphy as Mary Walsh makes a phone call to her apparently-not-imaginary boyfriend and proves the old adage that just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.
