Finally A Release Date For Night of the Comet
Several years ago I put out a wish list of movies I wanted to see released on DVD. Some of them were special edition versions of movies that were already out, some had yet to be released. Since then, almost everything on that list has come to fruition, save one. Well, the list is finally complete: Night of the Comet is finally getting a release date.
According to davisdvd.com, MGM Home Entertainment has set a release date of March 6th for the cult classic zombie film.
If you haven’t seen Night of the Comet, your zombie genre knowledge can’t be complete. The movie is an eighties classic, featuring two valley-girl/cheerleader types who are left alive when a comet passes too close to the earth and turns most people into mindless zombie-like creatures. Although most of the cast passed largely into obscurity, picking up occasional roles, Robert Beltran went on to star in “Star Trek: Voyager.” Now, you tell me, which is worse to have on your resume?
March 6th can’t get here soon enough. Thanks for the late Christmas present MGM!
