A Frellin' Good Deal: Complete Farscape On Sale For Fifty Bucks
We've been bemoaning the dearth -- if not death -- of good televised science fiction lately, and it seems as if the universe was listening. Amazon's Gold Box deal of the day
today is one of the best SF shows ever aired, and it's on sale for a whopping 67% discount while supplies last. Click through the Amazon wormhole and you can take home the complete run of Farscape
for $49.99.
Launching way back in 1999, Farscape followed astronaut John Crichton (the immensely talented and underhired Ben Browder), who was sucked through a wormhole in an experimental spacecraft and wound up clear on the other side of the galaxy. Soon he's brought aboard a huge living ship called Moya that's populated by prisoners who have staged a jailbreak from their fascistic Peacekeeper captors. Over the following years, John winds up seeking out new life and new civilizations, but the only place he really wants to boldly go is back home.
Farscape is by turns epic, funny, touching, and heartbreaking. It's one of the best shows of its kind, and demonstrated enormous crossover appeal by making such a fan of my SF-phobic wife that she to this day still curses in Farscape-ese. If you don't already own it, what the hezmana are you waiting for? Click here
and get it right now.
