Gather Your Wolfpack And Enjoy These Wolfman Bonus Clips
Director Joe Johnston's next project will be bringing Marvel's iconic star-spangled hero to the big screen in Captain America: The First Avenger next year. Whether he'll be up to the task remains to be seen, but if you want to check out the state of his skillz, his remake of The Wolfman hits Blu-ray and DVD today. Sure, Victorian lycanthropes may be a long stretch away from shield-wielding super-soldiers, but The Wolfman should at least give you an idea if he cuts the proper jib.
The Wolfman did passably well at the box office this past February, even if the critics didn't seem impressed by its bark or its bite. That's odd, since it brought an impressive writing pedigree to the table, with both Andrew Kevin Walker (Se7en) and David Self (Road to Perdition) having worked on the script. We'll have our DVD review up soon, so stay tuned to see if this incarnation wins me over more than it did Katey.
To hype up the release, Universal has sent along a veritable wolfpack of clips from the disc's bonus features. Scroll on down for looks at lighting, the transformation from man to wolfman, and creature-effects talk with the legendary Rick Baker.
