Get A Sneak Peek At Muppet Show Season 2 Clips
Season Two of “The Muppet Show” is finally hitting stores tomorrow, far too long after the release of the first season. It’s been worth the wait, however, as the set is fantastic (read our review here).
For those of you who are big Muppet fans who want to see what the set has in store for you, we’ve been sent a couple of clips to help get you ready for the 24 episodes in the set. These clips are a good representation of the funny, the sweet, and the zany side of “The Muppet Show” as well as a look at one of the bonus features.
First up is from the comedic side as impersonator Rich Little takes a stab at the key Muppet players: Rich Little impersonates the Muppets
Next is a little song between Kermit and guest star Julie Andrews. It’s a nice reminder of the sweet side of The Muppets; that not everything has to be crazy and insane: Julie Andrews sings a song with Kermit
Finally, the Steve Martin episode features one of the strangest storylines for the season: the show is cancelled so the show can audition new acts. Here’s a clip that shows Steve Martin, back in the heyday of his comedic side, finding out about the cancellation and responding with what was his signature phrase: Steve Martin’s episode gets cancelled
While there isn’t tons of bonus material on the set, one of the featurettes shows the Muppet characters, both classic and modern, discussing elements of themselves. This is probably one of my favorites from the section, in which the Muppets answer if they are dating and the debate between Piggy and Kermit about their relationship status continues: The Muppets on The Muppets: Are you Dating?
Don’t forget to pick up your copy of “The Muppet Show”: Season Two on August 7th!
