Guard Your Pets, Sarah Silverman Is Loose On DVD
Nobody likes to be offended by another person, but something about Sarah Silverman offending you makes is okay. On October 14th you’ll be able to hear what’s on her mind, no matter how crass or absurd, over and over again when Paramount Home Entertainment and Comedy Central release The Sarah Silverman Program: Season Two, Volume One on DVD.
Join your favorite Jewish-American princess as she takes you on an adventure of mockery and irony. Sarah Silverman stars as Sarah Silverman, an unemployed single woman who is dependent on her sister Laura, who happens to be her real sisters as well. From deporting her cleaning lady to joining a radical anti-abortion group you’ll have more than enough of her childish debacles to keep you laughing.
The DVD features several extras including “The Cast and Creators at 2007’s Comic-Con,” “Digital Shorts: Steve and Brian’s Basement Adventure and Brian’s New Office,” “Cookie Party: Cookies Come Alive! Parts I, II and III and The Video Game,” as well as “Behind-The-Scenes: Jay’s cape, Jay’s XBox, and Justin Sketch.” You’ll also get an audio commentary.
I have a hard time buying a television drama series on DVD and actually being able to watch and enjoy episodes I have already seen. But The Sarah Silverman Program most certainly does not fall into that category. It’s like a good comedy movie; you crave reaching the day that you’ve watched it enough that you can recite the lines yourself. And how could you say no to a comedian who has the nerve to lick her dog’s butt?
