Hulu Launching Subscription Service This May
We knew it was coming, but now it's official: Hulu is going to start charging for some of its content. The L.A. Times is reporting that the service will begin testing its new subscription model as soon as May 24th.
The good news is that some content will still be available if you don't want to pony up for the monthly "Hulu Plus" service. The five most recent episodes of popular shows such as Glee and Lost would still be free, but if you want to dig deeper into Hulu's back catalogue, it's gonna cost you $9.95 a month. No word yet on if Hulu Plus subscribers will get to watch the shows commercial free.
