Jackass 3.5 Offending In March
Jackass 2.5 wasn’t released in theaters, and it didn’t feature anything more stunt-worthy or disgusting than any of the Jackass movies that did. What it did do though was make MTV a lot of press, becoming the #1 title bought on iTunes the week after the digital film premiered in 2007. From what I’ve garnered, 2.5 is exactly what you’d expect it to be: an extended blooper reel that goes beyond snorting actors and fucked up takes that is actually funny.
When Jackass 3D opened in October, at least according to co-star Johnny Knoxville, there was plenty of the film that had to be cut out. He recently went on record to say, "For Jackass 3D we shot enough footage for two movies so a lot of great stuff didn't make it in the film. Luckily you will get to see those bits in 3.5. We also shot some additional footage in Europe specifically for 3.5. I have staples in my head right now to prove it. Woo hoo.”
Jackass 3.5 will be released in March 2011, in all of its nude and disgusting glory. Keep an eye out, because new stunts and antics will be released online weekly, prior to the full-length digital film that is dropping in March.
