Jericho's Dismal DVD Artwork
Alright “Jericho” fans – put down the peanuts. CBS has bowed. You’re getting a kind of second season. Now you just have to earn that third season by getting as many people as possible to watch the new episodes. So what’s the best way to get them up to speed? Well, you could get your friends to watch the re-airing of the first season over the summer. For those friends who are schedually challenged, you might try picking up the first season on DVD, which Paramount has just announced.
Right now all we’ve gotten is a look at the cover art for the first season set, which will be presented in widescreen format. No bonus materials, specs, or even a price has been released yet, just the artwork and the release date: October 2nd. That’s the day all you “Jericho” fans need to be lined up outside of your local DVD retailer to prove your dedication again.
For those not in the loop, “Jericho” explores a small Kansas town after a mushroom cloud appears on the horizon, isolating the town from the rest of the (presumably nuclear nightmarish) world. For those in the loop: allow me to suggest you come up with a name to describe your fanbase. Might I also suggest you not pursue “nutcases,” “nutjobs,” or “nutheads.” Sending in those packets of peanuts may have gotten your point across, but do you really want to associate your fanbase with the word “nut”?
