Larry The Cable Guy Takes A Morning Constitution
I tuned in for a little bit of Larry the Cable Guy’s latest stand up special, “Morning Constitutions” last night on Comedy Central. Within minutes I was offended enough to stand up and hunt down the remote from the nether regions of my couch. I don’t remember the comment that broke my interest away but I’m sure it had something to do with cerebral palsy or another disability of sorts. Of course, that kind of humor really is the Blue Collar comedian’s M.O. and just because that humor doesn’t work for me doesn’t mean it doesn’t “git-r-done” for other people.
For those who do appreciate Larry the Cable Guy beyond his animated role as Mater in Cars, “Morning Constitutions” comes to DVD tomorrow (June 5th). Now you can enjoy the stand up comedy on your own schedule instead of waiting for Comedy Central to air the special for the fourteenth time in 24 hours.
No doubt there is extra incentive to pick up the DVD instead of just catching “Morning Constitutions” on TV again. I would bet it probably carries extra material or uncensored delivery or something, although information on the release is pretty sparse (that means harder to find then a stockbroker at a Cable Guy concert for the vocabulary challenged). Even Larry’s website (www.larrythecableguy.com) doesn’t have much info on the DVD other than saying it’s a great follow up to his last DVD – meaning “Git-R-Done,” not Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector. Stating something was better than that movie wouldn’t be much to brag about, even for Larry.
“Larry the Cable Guy: Morning Constitutions” hits DVD June 5th. The CD version of the stand up concert has been on sale for six weeks now and the concert aired this past Sunday on Comedy Central.
