Learn A Lesson In Love With Couples Retreat This February
Haven’t had a vacation in a while? Universal Home Video can take you to Bora Bora for just $29.98! Well, for $39.98 if you insist on seeing the beautiful beaches in HD. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, you can own Couples Retreat on DVD and Blu-ray.
When Jason and Cynthia (Jason Bateman and Kristen Bell) hit a rough patch in their marriage, they recruit their friends Dave and Ronnie (Vince Vaughn and Malin Akerman), Joey and Lucy (Jon Favreau and Kristin Davis), and Shane and Trudy (Faizon Love and Kali Hawk) to indulge in some rest and relaxation at a tropical retreat called Eden. The catch? Eden has two sections; one for wild singles and one for couples therapy. Jason and Cynthia assure the group that the therapy sessions are optional and they’ll be able to indulge in as much sun and fun as they like. Upon arrival, they’re mortified to learn it isn’t so easy to escape the facility’s rigorous program.
It’s far from drop-dead hilarious, but Couples Retreat has its moments. The full specs have yet to be announced, but according to the DVD Active, there will be an alternate ending on both the DVD and BD. Exclusive to the Blu-ray version will be a digital copy of the film. With such a fantastic and typically entertaining ensemble cast, I’ve got my fingers crossed for a nice chunk of behind-the-scenes footage and some bloopers. We’ll let you know when the details come in!
