Learn A Lesson In Young Love With An Education On DVD March 30th
Looking for a smart film to add to your library? On March 30th, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will deliver an A+ option, An Education. You can own this Academy Award nominee for $28.96 on DVD or $38.96 on Blu-ray.
Jenny (Carey Mulligan) is a promising young student, but she's thrown off track after meeting a charming older man named David (Peter Sarsgaard). He whisks her away into a world of lavish concerts and glamorous parties to indulge in the fineries of life with his friends Danny and Helen (Dominic Cooper and Rosamund Pike). Jenny becomes so engrossed in her new source of education and infatuation with David, she begins to spoil her pristine record and risks her opportunity to attend Oxford.
You don’t need me to tell you An Education is worth buying on DVD. Not only is the film up for Best Picture at the Academy Awards, but Mulligan earned a nomination in the Best Actress category, as did Nick Hornby for Best Adapted Screenplay. Both the DVD and BD come with the same modest selection of bonus material. There’s commentary with director Lone Scherfig, Mulligan, and Sarsgaard; deleted scenes; a making-of featurette; and “Walking the Red Carpet.”
