Lock The Doors - The Strangers Come Knocking On DVD And Blu-Ray
Why would you want to be so afraid you can’t sleep at night? Or be horrified to the point that just locking the house door isn’t enough? Well, for all you crazies out there, join me in welcoming The Strangers to DVD and Blu-Ray.
Champagne, rose petals and blood? What was supposed to a romantic evening at the Hoyt family’s vacation home turned into a night of terror of which the details are not entirely known. Kristen McKay (Liv Tyler) and James Hoyt (Scott Speedman) ventured up to 1801 Clark Road on February 11th, 2005 to celebrate after leaving a friend’s wedding, but what this couple endured that evening was far from a celebration.
Knocks at the door in the middle of the night are followed by the brutal invasion of three masked individuals. If these knocks are as terrifying as the ones from the film Vacancy (2007), I don’t even need to reach the violent part of the film to be completely terrified. But then again, I could never stop watching there. Kristen and James go way beyond what they think they are capable of out of desperation to survive.
The blood and guts not enough for you? You’re in luck. A horrific thriller such as this could never be released for home viewing without a detailed look into “The Elements of Terror.” You’ll get an up close and personal for the entire production process including anecdotes from Liv Tyler. What DVD/Blu-Ray disc would be complete without deleted scenes? Certainly not this one. You get some of those too. If you’re lucky enough to have access to the BD-Live portion of the disc, you can make use of the scene sharing element, which allows you to create your own movie clips and share them with your friends.
So, if you’re gutsy enough to let this disc inside your home, you’ll be able to pick up The Strangers at stores on October 21st for $29.98 on DVD or $39.98 on Blu-Ray.
