The Losers Unloads A Barrage Of Clips Before DVD Release Day
The Losers may have beaten The A-Team into theaters, but it lived up to its name when it came to box-office take. That's a shame, since I had a lot more fun with The Losers than I did with The A-Team. Both were light-hearted action flicks about tight-knit special-forces groups betrayed by their own and framed for crimes they didn't commit, but by adapting similar but lesser-known source material, The Losers was able to spend less time focused on fan service and more just trying to be fun. The Losers had no iconic van demanding screen time, no fan-favorite one-liners that needed to be peppered into the dialogue every couple of scenes.
Both movies were buoyed by charismatic casts, but in my book Jeffrey Dean Morgan being awesome trumps Liam Neeson being overshadowed by the ghost of George Peppard any day of the week. And that's without even considering Zoe Saldana's ungodly hotness in this movie or Chris Evans' "spooky stuff/anal stuff" speech. Plus, movies based on Vertigo comics are automatically more awesome than movies based on '80s television series.
If The Losers flew under your radar (and given the box office, we can safely assume it did), you'll be able to check it out on Blu-ray and DVD as of tomorrow. In the mean time, check out some clips.
