Lost Boys 2 Underway And Headed Straight To DVD
Joel Schumacher’s cult hit 1987 punk vampire movie Lost Boys is about to get a sequel. But you won’t see it in theaters, it’s going straight to DVD.
The rumor comes from IESB, where they claim to have another one of their “anonymous” sources dribbling them tips. They say Lost Boys 2 is slated to start production in early 2007 for Warner Brothers.
What we don’t know is who’s involved in making it, or who will be in it. We do know the plot will revolve around surfing, which instantly makes the movie just about as horrible as it could possibly be. The original Joel Schumacher The Lost Boys starred the likes of Kiefer Sutherland, Corey Haim, and Corey Feldman in a hip, teen version of the usual vampire tale with the vampires as youngsters partying all night and sleeping all day. While there’s no chance in hell Kiefer Sutherland would touch a doomed, low budget direct-to-DVD stinker like this, it’s not like Corey Feldman has anything better to do.
