Malcolm McDowell's Name Appears On The List
I have a great appreciation for Malcolm McDowell’s career. From his early days in A Clockwork Orange to his awesome stint on Entourage, the guy knows how to play a role. Even in his siller roles like Tank Girl, McDowell’s has been a name that instantly intrigues me, although I have to admit that has lessened a bit with recent lukewarm flicks like Doomsday and Halloween where the actor has looked out of place and all but phoned in his performance.
That recent plunge in the quality of McDowell’s work is a cause for concern, especially when his name shows up attached to one of those little-heard-of titles that is now showing up in a DVD releases. The movie is The List and stars McDowell along with Chuck Carrington, Hilarie Burton, and Will Patton – television actors, every one.
Here’s the description from the press announcement for The List’s upcoming DVD release: In a world of secrets, where evil has reigned for over a hundred years, there lives a treacherous blood covenant and vast fortune guarded by a dark prophecy that will change the life of one man forever in the gripping suspense drama The List, debuting on DVD June 10th from Fox Home Entertainment.
While these big name but little heard of DVD titles show up they tend to be disappointing, but I still almost always feel compelled to give them a looksee. Is McDowell’s name enough to make you pick this up, or at the very least add it to your Netflix queue? If so, check it out on June 10th.
