Penn And Teller Expose B.S. In Their 6th Season On DVD
We may live in a world lacking morals, but, when you think about it, we still censor ourselves and refrain from expressing our true opinions on the people we meet, the beliefs they hold and the actions they take. Could you imagine a world where someone tells Miss California her comments on gay marriage are ludicrous? Okay, in a situation like that everyone gives their two cents, but for all of the things we let slide under the radar, Penn and Teller are here to conduct a full frontal attack for us.
Penn & Teller's: Bull Shit! first aired on Showtime back in 2003. Six seasons later the magical and comedic duo are still attacking everyone under the sun for their pseudoscientific beliefs, misconceptions and addiction to popular trends. Throughout the season Penn and Teller target a number of concepts including the regulation of pornography, dolphins having evolutionary superiority and the obsession with child safety.
While I may have been unfamiliar with the show, the announcement of this DVD release prompted me to spend endless hours on YouTube watching clips. Not only do I want the DVD of the sixth season, I want the entire set! Finally, someone has the nerve to tackle the issues we all think about on a daily basis but don’t dare to touch. On top of that, the duo doesn’t just address these misconceptions; they’re utterly crude in discussing them mimicking the way the majority of Americans think.
No wonder this show was nominated for 11 Emmys, it’s brilliant! For an escape from the monotony and censorship of everyday life, I’d suggest you get a copy of Penn & Teller: B.S.! The Complete Sixth Season when it hits DVD May 12th.
